The revolutionary ideas of 1776 and the national framework established in 1787 laid the foundation for America’s democracy. Festivities will mark various events leading up to the anniversary on the 250th Independence Day: July 4, 2026. Celebrations are organized by two main organizations at the federal level: the non-partisan congressional America250 Commission created in 2016; and Freedom250, the White House Task Force, chaired by Donald Trump.
